About Me

Hi, I’m Jessica.

Whatever your struggle, the first step of reaching out can be daunting. Each of us is unique. Our stories are our own. Our challenges are deep and personal and are like ice burgs, mostly hidden from view. Sometimes we need someone to help navigate these depths, to help process the present and the past and to renegotiate the future. This is the path to authenticity, contentment and freedom. This is true for us individually and in our relationships.

I have a BA in Psychology, an MA in Counseling and am certified by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (license #131144).  I hold additional certifications and trainings in grief therapy, brainspotting, Emotion Focused Therapy, internal family systems and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

I specialize in several areas of counseling – grief from death and from living losses, couples therapy, family cut-off, religious deconstruction, trauma and anxiety. I am also familiar with military family life and the added challenges that come with deployments, relocation, high-tempo work environments and PTSD.

I structure my sessions around evidence-based therapies and I find psycho-education as an empowering, effective method.

Who are my clients? Individuals and couples who are ready to do the work to heal, to change and to learn. I promise to be open, compassionate and committed. I look forward to the opportunity to walk this road with you.
